Information
Weltenburger Asam Bock owes its name to the brilliant Baroque painter and architect Cosmas Damian Asam. This malt-forward bock releases subtle roasted aromas that hint at notes of coffee. Friends and connoisseurs especially appreciate it for its rich, sweet, highly aromatic flavor that lingers through the finish. With an alcohol content of 6.9%, it is the strongest brew in the Weltenburg family.
The Weltenburg Monastery Brewery was founded by Irish-Scottish itinerant monks in the 7th century and is now owned by the Benedictine Abbey of Weltenburg. The beer has been brewed in the legendary Danube Gorge, in the heart of Bavaria, since 1050.
